To get your character in a new scene. You could do a simple copy and paste. Right? Sure. A better option might be to link your character from one Blend file to the other. What is linking? You might ask. A link creates a reference to any form of data in the source file. Almost everything that one Blend file contains its possible to link to another. From objects to materials, from rigs to entire collections Contrary to a normal import or an append, the change is made in the source file, will update in the link blend file as soon as it restarts. In this case, we want to link a fully rigged character. In order to achieve this. We need to do some housekeeping first. So this file is pretty organized. Already I have a character collection. I got a rig collection. Widgets and a mesh cages collection. I dont have mesh cages, but usually I do. But for the sake of example, I included this as well. We want to place the rig collection in the character collection and do the same thing for the me

In Breath of the Wild Link was a knight and served as Princess Zeldas personal bodyguard 100 years prior to his reawakening. Links father was said to be a member of the Knights of Hyrule.
In Zelda lore, Link is the reincarnated soul of a hero, chosen by the goddess Hylia to protect the kingdom of Hyrule from Ganon and save Princess Zelda whenever the need arises.
Hardcore fans of The Legend of Zelda series know that the games cover different incarnations of Link, but some Links have appeared more than once. The Legend of Zelda has seen players control multiple Links over the past three decades. Almost every entry resets the board and focuses on any given Links first adventure.
Ocarina of time link, and Majoras Mask link are the same. Wind Waker and Phantom hourglass are the same. Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages and Links Awakening(If I remember right) are the same.
Hence I created the version of Link that you see in Breath of the Wild. As far as gender goes, Link is definitely a male, but I wanted to create a character where anybody would be able to relate to the character. So thats why I think the rumor went around that Link could be a female.
Those rumors that because the E3 lanyard had two pictures of Link, that there would be both a male and female version of the character in the new Zelda? It turns out they werent true. ing to GameSpot, who spoke to producer Eiji Aonuma, there isnt going to be a female Link at all.
Link is the main character and protagonist of the The Legend of Zelda series. He has appeared across many incarnations throughout the series, usually depicted as an ordinary boy or young man who becomes a legendary hero by saving the world through feats of courage.
Zeldas age is referenced within the games storyline, however, and pins her at right around 17. Since Link is already a sworn knight and Zeldas personal protector, he has to be around her same age. The general assumption is that Link was 17, like Zelda, when he entered stasis.
Link is a Hylian. Hylians strongly resemble humans, but have pointed ears. They also possess unique psychic and magical abilities. This makes them very elf-like, but theyre not elves in the traditional sense.
12 Every Zelda Is Zelda, But Not Every Link Is Link Rather than his soul reincarnating, only his spirit does. This means that almost every Link is unrelated. There is one outlier, though. Its heavily implied in Twilight Princess that the Link of that game is related to the Link from Ocarina of Time.
