hey everybody this is michael and uh with california and today i wanted to do a quick preview or a quick walkthrough of the pebt application so i know we got a lot of comments on our youtube video about like when can you apply or if you have eligible children but you haven't got your pbt card yet um i always keep sending out hey you know may 22nd at least here in california is the date that you can apply for it and so i am going to do a quick walkthrough of the pebt application for children it's real fast it's real simple um and as long as you have all the information for your kids it should be something get done in maybe ten minutes five minutes it just kind of depends on um you know how prepared everybody is or how much information you have for your children so first if you go to the website um previously we had looked at it there was not an apply now it just had basic questions information about how the program works which you can see here but um now today on the friday the 22nd it...

Benefits for new cases are deposited between the 1st and 10th of every month. The date you receive benefits depends on the last digit of the head of households individual identification number. Regular roll benefits are available by 3:00 a.m. on the same date every month, including holidays and weekends.
The Illinois Link card is a plastic card that looks and works like a debit card. If you are eligible for cash and SNAP benefits, you will access both with the same card. Only one Illinois Link Card is issued per account. Children issued P-EBT for the 2020-2021 school year will each have their own account.
The Illinois Link card can be used in all 50 states at most grocery stores and ATMs. Look for a display that the store accepts Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. Current Cardholders may access their SNAP (food stamp) and cash benefits at Point of Sale (POS) terminals at most grocery stores.
Through the new SNAP Restaurant Meals Program in Illinois, eligible individuals who receive SNAP benefits AND are aged 60 and older OR have a disability OR are experiencing homelessness may use their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to purchase hot meals from participating restaurants.
The Link Card is Illinoiss EBT card. EBT = electronic benefits transfer. EBT card = a card that looks and works like a debit or credit card but is loaded with food stamps (also known as SNAP benefits) and/or cash benefits.
Either call the Illinois Link Help Line at 1-800-678-LINK (5465), or go to the Illinois Link Card Website . You will need your 16-digit Link card number to access your Link account to select your first PIN. You will also need your social security number and date of birth.
You will receive your Illinois Link card through the mail at the address you gave to your local DHS office. Please allow seven (7) days for mail delivery. If you were approved for benefits but have not received your card within 10 days, contact your caseworker. You must have a PIN before you can use your benefits.
You can still get Summer 2022 School P-EBT, but you must have applied for free or reduced-price meals with your childs school by July 15, 2022.
You can only withdraw money or check your cash account balance at an ATM. You cannot use your SNAP benefits at an ATM. These are some of the ATM networks that accept the Illinois Link card. Some ATMs may charge you a fee.
