Illinois is transitioning the Illinois Link Card System to a new system. When is the transition happening? The transition of the Illinois Link Card System to the new system will occur on Saturday August 20th, 2022 beginning at 11:00 PM and will continue through 6:00 PM Sunday August 21st, 2022.
Anyone approved to receive cash assistance or SNAP (Food Stamps) benefits will be issued an Illinois Link card. The Illinois Link card is a plastic card that looks and works like a debit card. If you are eligible for cash and SNAP benefits, you will access both with the same card.
You can still get Summer 2022 School P-EBT, but you must have applied for free or reduced-price meals with your childs school by July 15, 2022.
