hey everyone now Im going to go into layer 2 of The OSI model I spoke about layer 1 in the previous video now its time for Layer Two so Layer Two is the data link layer okay and as you probably know its split into two sub layers okay because its a pretty important layer and the reason its split into two really is because half of it kind of deals with the the software side of it further up the stack and the bottom half deals with interacting with what I showed you in the physical layer so Ill go through what I mean by that now so youve got your um lets call this box here the whole data link layer okay that whole thing is the data link layer okay we know that up here we have all the the upper layers okay which of course Ill get to and uh theyre all software really when you think about it theres nothing nothing to touch nothing that it has to think about in the physical world and down here we have the physical layer now if you see capital p h y usually means physical there okay
