Changing the numbering sequence in a list can cause headaches, but use the following steps and youll avoid hassles later: Double-click the numbers in the list. Right-click the number you want to change. Click Set Numbering Value. In the Set value to: box, use the arrows to change the value to the number you want.
First, make sure the text is left-aligned in the Paragraph Options. Now select the table cells or columns that hold the numbers. Then, even though you havent typed any tabs, choose Type Tabs to open up the tab options. Finally, choose the align on decimal-tab and click on the ruler to set the position.
Word Hold down Shift , click the objects that you want to align, and then click the Shape Format tab. Click Arrange Align Align Selected Objects. This is selected by default. If Align Selected Objects is not available. Click Arrange Align, and then click the alignment that you want.
Use the alignment tools under the Paragraph section of the Home menu to set the alignment you want. A special indentation, such as a first line or hanging indentation, may have been selected.

To position the bracket correctly you must first click out of the cell and then back again with a right click. Select Format Cells. Click on Alignment. Under Horizontal select Left (indent) and under Vertical choose Center.
Click or tap the document where you want to type a number and press the Tab key. As you type the number, the decimal point aligns on the tab.
When you work with numbers, setting a decimal tab makes numbers, such as amounts of currency, align correctly in a column. If you dont see the ruler at the top of your document, go to View Ruler. Select on the ruler where you want the decimal point to be.
