getting signed is the dream for most musicians but not just getting signed but getting signed to a major label after all thats why the x-factor exists the idea of having this huge conglomerate pushing you along not just with money and finances but also an entire team of experts and opportunities to make sure that youve got every single chance to be successful and make it to the top getting signed to a major label is the same as getting chosen to play for a Premier League football team like Man United or getting chosen in the NFL Draft its about as good as it gets and in order to do that youve got to be the best of the best but in 2020 should you sign to a major label now this is something that crops up in the comments all the time people say I shouldnt sign to a label especially not a major label theyre just gonna rinse you theyre gonna take the money blah blah blah anyone who says that has probably never been in the position where a major label has come knocking at the door sa

1 This function is found on the release history page, on the right hand side of the gray section: After clicking the Remove Release link, you will see: This function allows voters and owners of the release to vote on its removal. A release needs over 81% Yes votes to be removed.
Making your first submission, step by step Get a copy of the release in front of you. Check your release doesnt already exist in the Database. Open the Add Release page (AKA the Submission Form) Identify the Artist. Enter the title. Identify the label. Enter a catalog number. Identify the correct format.
You cannot add an artist or label to Discogs directly. Artists and labels are added when you submit one of their releases. Your submissions will be voted on by other users. Please make sure your information is as accurate as possible, and follows the submission guidelines.
Todays Question: What is the difference between the Label and Title metadata fields? Tims Quick Answer: The Label metadata field is actually intended for a color label, and the Title field is intended as something of a very brief caption, literally serving as a title that briefly describes the image.
To do so, go to the Artist page and select `Create Master Release` on the left side of the page. Then, on the right side of the page, select all of the checkboxes for the releases which should be grouped together. At the bottom of the page, you can select which release you wish to have display as the master release.
The Edit links at the right hand side of each page allow you to update a release, artist, or label, and add or change images. You can update any submission at any time.
Master release is a display function that gathers two or more matching releases together. It can be thought of as a folder that holds two or more Discogs releases. An example would be gathering several versions of an album, such as Michael Jackson - Off The Wall.
To merge a release, go to the history / edit page of either of the releases you want to merge. In the grey box, click on Merge Release. This will open up a new page, with the releases information that you came from populated in the left hand view.
