this week on tablet tuesday im going to show you how to show your row and column field labels again so lets say i right click on this and hide my columns and right click on this and hide my field labels for rows now you carry on doing some more analysis in your tableau and you build and then when you come back to this particular sheet you figure out that actually you do want them back so the way to do that is if you go to analysis table layout show field labels for rows and also analysis table layout show field labels for columns now we have them both back and we have our table ready to go this is also useful for bar charts and everything that we do within tableau thats all for this week thank you

How are columns and rows labeled? All spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Excel, rows are labeled using numbers (e.g., 1 to 1,048,576). All columns are labeled with letters starting with the letter A and then incrementing by a letter after the final letter Z.
