hello my name is molly janis with echo consulting and today we are going to give you a quick tip on how to link to a specific row in smartsheet so im going to go to a template that i have so im going to one of our demos and its just a regular project demo and here what i have is i have a project plan that might have a series of different tasks and artifacts and and approvals and deliverables right and i have what we call a crate log and that is your risk issue log your action item log your decisions and then if you needed your changes as well so what im going to do is im going to assume that i have a risk and i need to link to a specific task that is associated with that so heres a risk locking a specific task okay now theres two different things that i could do here right the first one is i could come over here and i could actually go ahead and link it to a specific cell in another sheet right so i could come here i could go to my um my templates and i could link it to a speci

On the left hand side of your Google Drive look for link Share with me. Click the link. The folder listing on the right hand side of your Google Drive will show all the folders and files that have been shared with you. Click on either the folder or file to open it up.
Go to the first cell (cell A1) on the specific tab that you want to link. Right click on the cell A1 and click Get link to this cell (from the shortcut menu). Paste that link in Google Docs. Hope this may help.
If you want to link someone to a specific sheet you can copy and paste the URL so it will open on your chosen sheet. You can use these URLs in an email or chat message to a colleague to send them exactly where you want, creating a customised view for different users.
On the worksheet, select the cell where you want to create a link. On the Insert tab, select Hyperlink. You can also right-click the cell and then select Hyperlink on the shortcut menu, or you can press Ctrl+K.
If a file wont open, a few things could be wrong: The file owner didnt give you permission to view the file. Youre signed in to a different Google Account. Your access could be denied because someone removed your permission to view the file.
