What Does Join Mean? A join is an SQL operation performed to establish a connection between two or more database tables based on matching columns, thereby creating a relationship between the tables. Most complex queries in an SQL database management system involve join commands. There are different types of joins.
The plus sign is Oracle syntax for an outer join. There isnt a minus operator for joins. An outer join means return all rows from one table. Also return the rows from the outer joined where theres a match on the join key. If theres no matching row, return null.
