hello friends welcome back to my channel today we are going to see how to combine multiple csv file or excel files into one file in current example i have region wise data in csv format ill open one of the file suppose i have opened this file i have open this australia file you can see it has a multiple data covering region country total revenue cost and other details also okay and same similar kind of details are there in other files also what i want i want to combine these all files into the one single file with the help of power query so how to do that lets check out will open one blank excel file in that i will go to the data ribbon so in the data ribbon we have the first section called gate and transform data this is a section which is used for power query transformation so in that we have first section first icon is called gate data uh through which we can get the data from various sources like excel txt or where from various databases in the current example i want to combine

To combine multiple csv files into one Excel workbook, these are the steps you need to follow: Put all your CSV files into one folder. On the Data tab, in the Get Transform Data group, click Get Data From File From Folder. Browse for the folder into which youve put the csv files and click Open.
Merge all CSV or TXT files in a folder in one worksheet Windows Start Button | Run. Type cmd and hit enter (command in Win 98) Go to the folder with the CSV files (for help how to do that enter help cd) Type copy *. csv all. Type exit and hit enter to close the DOS window.

Next assess all possible columns comes from all the input CSV files by writing the collection to dummy ChoCSVWriter. Finally open each CSV file and writer them to ChoCSVWriter by using the captured configuration object.
To merge all CSV files, use the GLOB module. The os. path. join() method is used inside the concat() to merge the CSV files together.
