You can only merge all cells if theyre next to each other. If the cells arent continuous, the option to merge all wont be available.
Appends strings to one another.
Create a simple formula to concatenate text Click in the cell in which you want the result. Press = (the equal sign). Click the first cell that you want to refer to in the join and then press + (the plus sign). Click the second cell that you want to refer to (to join the values together) and press Enter.
Tap or highlight the two or more cells that you want to merge. After selecting cells, a new toolbar will appear at the bottom of your display. There is a Merge icon next to the text alignment tools and next to the bucket fill button. Tapping this icon will merge all cells that you have selected.

1. Click on the cell you wish to add your combined cells to. Enter your CONCATENATE formula, making sure to reference the cells you want to combine, and also adding your delimiters (as spaces, commas, or separators). On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Select the rows, columns, or cells to merge. At the top, click Format. Merge cells, then select how you want your cells to be merged.
JOIN is a function in Google Sheets that allows you to combine data from two or more tables into a single table. The function takes two or more arguments: the first is the name of the table you want to join, and the second is the name of the column in each table that you want to join on.
