How to Merge Photos in Photoshop Choose Two Photos to Merge. Whatever your reason for merging two photos in Photoshop, some photos will merge more easily than others. Open a Photo. Open Your Second Photo. Position Your Photos to Match. Create a Mask and Erase. Check Your Accuracy. Merge The Two Layers.
Select the group in the Layers panel and click the Create a New Layer button . Drag a layer to the group folder. Drag a group folder into another group folder. The group and all of its layers move.
To create a new panel group, click and hold on a panels tab in an existing group. Then, drag the panel out of the group and drop it into a new location outside of any other group. Dragging the Color panel between two panel groups. A new group has been created for the Color panel.

Keyboard Shortcut For Creating Groups With your layers selected, pressing Command + G (Mac) or Control + G (PC) to create a group. All of the selected layers will be merged into a group folder.
To make your photos merge, all you need to do is click the Move tool on the left icon menu, and click the image you want as the overlay. Holding down the left mouse button and the shift key while dragging, move it over the image that will be your background and then release.
