Mobile Deposits are paper checks deposited by their recipient using a camera or scanner without the need to visit a physical credit union or bank branch location. It is a feature on most mobile banking apps that allows you to take a picture of your check and upload with just a few clicks, no matter where you are.
A deposit agreement form, also called a bank deposit agreement or a bank investment contract (BIC), is a legal contract between a bank and an investor. In this contract, the investor agrees to keep a deposit for a fixed amount of time in exchange for a guaranteed rate of return from the bank.
If the check is issued to two people, such as John and Jane Doe, the bank or credit union generally can require that the check be signed by both of them before it can be cashed or deposited. If the check is issued to John or Jane Doe, generally either person can cash or deposit the check.
Although some checks have a preprinted box to indicate mobile deposit, checking this box does not complete the endorsement requirement. For Mobile Deposit Only must be written legibly below your signature.
