Both of these functions let you join (concatenate) text in different cells together. TEXTJOIN lets you join values with a delimiter of your choice, and has an option to ignore empty values. CONCAT simply mashes all values together without options.
Combine text from two or more cells into one cell Select the cell where you want to put the combined data. Type = and select the first cell you want to combine. Type and use quotation marks with a space enclosed. Select the next cell you want to combine and press enter. An example formula might be =A2 B2.
If your Excel TEXTJOIN function is not working but you need to use it urgently, in this case you can use the alternative option like CONCAT function. This function offers you the same functions as CONCATENATE.
How to use TEXTJOIN in Excel Type the introductory text. Start your TEXTJOIN function by typing the phrase =TEXTJOIN. Define your delimiter text. Type your delimiter text after the starting parenthesis and comma in your syntax. Add your ignoreempty value. Input your defined cells. Defining cell range.
