back again I think just learned that I made a video for a viewer a few minutes ago and I made something other than what she was actually trying to do so were going to try this again the request is to have a in a shape for solids there I am an outline of a shape like in her case she wants to do a state that she lives in and take the outline and just have the word hole attached right to the outline the whole inside is going to be hollow so were going to go for this one and go to Google and just search for a state outline so I came up with this in my google search go back a little bit I just did oh actually I didnt look for an outline here so you just pick one that you like were going to copy this image Im going to come over to Inkscape and paste it in and as you can see it has a solid background were going to trace this so its an SVG go to path trace bitmap take smooth off if its checked so that it doesnt oversimplify all of your curves and stuff make sure we remove background

Choose Object Path Join. Notice that the anchor points on the left side of the paths are now joined with a path. If you want to join specific anchor points from separate paths, select the anchor points and press Command+J (Mac OS) or Ctrl+J (Windows). Choose Object Path Join once more.
Select all the shapes using the Selection Tool. While all the shapes are selected, select the Pathfinder Tool (displayed below in red). Now select the Unite selection (displayed below in green). Your shapes should now be combined to form a single shape.
Go to Type Create Outlines or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + O. A quick test to see if the text of a PDF was converted to outlines? Try to select and edit the text. If this doesnt work, the text has been converted to outlines.
Select the text, right-click and select Create Outlines or use the keyboard shortcut Shift + Command + O . Step 2: Ungroup the text. Right-click on the text and select Ungroup. Step 3: Select the individual letter you want to re-shape and select the Direct Selection Tool (keyboard shortcut A ).
To convert text to outlines, go Select Select All. It doesnt matter if other graphic elements are selected. Select Type Create Outlines from the menu. The text will become outlined and cant be edited as text (see the image below right).
In docHub Illustrator, select the text the you want to merge together and go to File Scripts MergeTextAI.
Method 1 - The Vector Outline Place your image on a layer in docHub Illustrator. Now lock the layer, and create a new one. Continue to go all the way around until you are able to click and join with the first point. You should now have a completed outline.
