in Excel you can use a formula to combine data from two or more cells so here we have a column with first name and last name and wed like to combine them so Im going to click here where Id like to see the full name and type an equal sign and then click on b2 which has the first name to join the values Im going to type shift 7 which creates an ampersand and that joins text in Excel then Ill click on the last name now when I press ENTER its combined the names but they would look better if there were a space between them so Im going to click there where the formula is and just click after the b2 so right after the first name Id like a space so Ill type another shift 7 to get an ampersand and to create a space Im going to type a space here inside double quotes so Ill type double quote space and a double quote and now when I press ENTER theres the first name space last name and I can just copy that down you can also combine text in numbers so here we have a price list our orders

Using the Merge Center Option In this case, we want to merge the cells A1, B1, and C1. After selecting the cells, navigate to Home. Under the Alignment Column, select Merge Center. You can either select the option directly or click on the dropdown and select any merging option to merge the cells.
How to Assign Names to Cells in Excel Open your spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel. Click and drag your mouse cursor across the cells you wish to name to select them. Right-click any selected cell and click Define Name. Enter a name for the range in the Name field. Click OK.
Heres how to merge cells in Excel: Select cells. Select the cells you want to merge by clicking on the first and dragging your cursor to the last. Use the Merge function. Click the Home tab in the toolbar at the top of the document. Unmerge cells if necessary. If you want to unmerge cells, select the merged cell.
The formula for this function is =CONCATENATE(Cell reference 1, Cell reference 2). So, for example, you can input =CONCATENATE (A1,B1) into cell C1 to combine the values of A1 and B1 into that cell.
Combine data with the Ampersand symbol () Type = and select the first cell you want to combine. Type and use quotation marks with a space enclosed. Select the next cell you want to combine and press enter. An example formula might be =A2 B2.
This will combine the selected cells into a single cell. To create a sum, click the cell where you want the sum to appear and type =SUM( followed by the cell references of the cells you want to add together, separated by a comma. For example, to sum cells A1 through A5, you would type =SUM(A1:A5). Finally, press Enter.
Type =(A1 B1) in C1 and press enter. Combined string will appear in cell C1. What this formula is doing is concatenating three strings. First it brings content of cell A1 and suffix it with a space (there is a space between double quotes) and then content of cell B1 are suffixed to it.
Combine cells with leading zeros by CONCATENATE function Select a blank cell, and type this formula =CONCATENATE(A1, B1,C1), press Enter key, then you can drag the autofill handle to fill this formula to the range you need.
