all right guys in my second video its going to be name log im going to show you start to finish uh how i take care of my log how i lay out the name how i carve it finish it up so stay tuned this ones gonna be cool [Music] all right you can see that the log is cut its fairly flat i got a little bit of uh cross cutting here from just the big saw going through but if you saw i used a little chainsaw just ran across to kind of take some of the high spots off use it as a planer a chainsaw blade is a planer it works pretty good so im going to lay the lettering out and thatll be time lapse also uh for my name logs this is my saw of choice for doing my lettering uh just a steel ms-170 with a steel dime tip i believe its a 10 inch carving bar uh the chains got a little wider curve so i can take a little more wood out then save my um my 150 my samara japanese carving bar with a really narrow kerf narrow width to the chain blade so this works really good its lightweight its nice easy t
