2 How to set a cancellation policy For instance, you may provide a full refund if the client cancels more than 30 days before the shoot, a 50% refund if they cancel between 15 and 30 days, and no refund if they cancel less than 15 days.
This clause covers sexual, violent, or any other type of harassment that may happen or occur that causes you to be uncomfortable or feel unsafe. This will clearly explain what is and what is NOT acceptable, as well as what images you will be liable for if you do have to remove yourself from a dangerous situation.
So your cancellation policy may look like this: Standard cancellation fee: 50% of Creative Fee + 100% of expenses. Within 7 days: 75% of Creative Fee + 100% of expenses. Within 48 hours: 100% of Creative Fee + 100% of expenses.
Hopefully, you have a signed contract that you utilized to start the photographer/client relationship. Thereby, it is best practice to end the relationship in writing. You can use a document entitled Mutual Release and Rescission of Contract or a document simply entitled Cancellation of Contract.
A simple event contract template Step 1: Terms Conditions. Step 2: General Company Information. Step 3: Services and Products. Step 4: Payment. Step 5: Cancellation Fees. Step 6: Legal. Step 7: Signatures.
A photography contract is a legally binding agreement between a photographer and their client(s). It defines the rights and obligations of the parties, to include payments, deliverables, schedules, etc. A good contract will also cover copyright, usage rights, limits of liability and more.
It should include details such as date, time, location, fees, image rights and any additional services requested by the client. Always make sure to have a clear understanding of what both parties agree upon before finalizing and signing the contract.
CLIENT agrees and understands that no other party other than PHOTOGRAPHER may take pictures of any poses, lighting situations, or setups made by the photographer. This slows down the photographers work and violates the photographers right to take pictures of the event.
