in this video Im going to talk about joins and joins using query so first of all lets start off with what is a join a join is used when you have two or more files that you want to pull data into your query with a join is the method in which you add those that one or more files into the query so for example using the file that weve been working with the sales file go ahead and show you that ok we have this file here and say that we want to be able to bring additional data into the query so in this case we have a sales rep number okay and maybe we want to know who the sales rep is if that information is stored in another file you can use whats called the join to join that file in there and to bring that data in and make it into as a part of the query or as a part of the report and kind of bring it all together and make it look like its all part of the same thing when in fact the data could be from several different files so you use a join to do that so back out of here and the file
