Line Breaks To create a line break or new line ( ), end a line with two or more spaces, and then type return.
To merge table columns in HTML use the colspan attribute in tag. With this, merge cells with each other. For example, if your table is having 4 rows and 4 columns, then with colspan attribute, you can easily merge 2 or even 3 of the table cells.
To add spacing between lines or paragraphs of text in a cell, use a keyboard shortcut to add a new line. Click the location where you want to break the line. Press ALT+ENTER to insert the line break.
For a line break, add either a backslash \ or two blank spaces at the end of the line.
To merge cells in a markdown table, you will need to add the colspan attribute to the tag. The colspan attribute specifies the number of columns a cell should span. For example, if you want to merge two cells into one, you would add the colspan attribute with a value of 2.
With Markdown tables you can: merge cells vertically using ^ merge cells horizontally by using || but if you try to do both the finished table is wrong.
Blank Lines To add a single extra line after a paragraph, add two extra spaces ( ) at the end of the text. To add an extra line of space between paragraphs, add the HTML non-breaking space ( nbsp; ) code, followed by two extra spaces (e.g. nbsp; ).
