hey everyone in this video we will talk about joining two fact tables using a single dimension tables for slicing and dicing and you can use the same formula for slicing and dicing across multiple dimensions as long as you have got common dimensions between two fact tables so in this diagram ive got two fact tables the internet sales amount and the fact inventory sorry fact product inventory and now ill just show you in the in the reporting tab ive already created a mini table where ive got the color from so the color comes from the fact internet sales table and the sales amount comes from the fact internet sales table however you can see the unit balance is coming from the fact product inventory so when the data is getting filtered from fact internet sales table the filters dont flow into units balance and that is because there is no common table joining uh the two tables or there is no relationship between the two tables so how you can join them is using a common dimension table

The idle way to connect 2 fact table by a Dimension table.. create a Unique Dimesion table from your fact table then make one to many relationship.. for better result please post your power bi model and exact requirement. If it is your solution then please Accept it as solution and please like.
A logical data model may contain one or more many-to-many relationships. Physical data modelling techniques transform a many-to-many many-relationships into one-to many-relationships by adding additional tables. These are referred to as bridge tables.
Dimensions can contain references to other dimensions.
You can create a join between two fact tables and then add that join to the facts object. Before you can create a fact-to-fact join, you must create a facts object and add two or more tables to the facts object.
Each dimensional table needs to include a primary key that corresponds to a foreign key in the fact table. The fact table should have a primary (composite) key that is a combination of the foreign keys.
Use the wizard to create the corresponding fact and dimension tables. In Data Modeler, lock the model for editing. In the Database menu in the left pane, right-click the source table that contains the fact and dimensional data that you want to model, select Add to Model, and then select Add as Fact and Dimension Tables.
Two dimension tables cannot be joined. In the join conditions that are specified in the ON clause, the fields in the dimension table cannot use type conversion functions, such as CAST. If you need to convert data types, perform the conversion on the fields in the source table.
In most dimensions, each fact joins to one and only one dimension member, and a single dimension member can be associated with multiple facts. In relational database terminology, this is referred to as a one-to-many relationship. However, it is frequently useful to join a single fact to multiple dimension members.
