[Music] hi Im Brian English Forum named hyper bites I was just uh perusing The Forum as I often do and uh one of the posts got me thinking about joins and uh how theres the sort of General understanding of joins um can be a little bit confusing so I thought now is the time to put something together just just to explain about the different types of joins that we have available and what data they will return if we use them so there five main types Im going to be covering here Im going to be covering the straightforward inner join which is one that you probably use most but Ill be covering the left join and the right join and Ill also be covering the what I call the not in left and not in right um joins which are basically the joins which will detect something that isnt in a data set that is a really really useful feature so uh before I go any further lets have a look at the data that we uh will be using in this and uh then well have a look at running the joins so Im now in wapl
