They do this by invoking the linguistic terms mentioned above: standout terms or phrases, such as unparalleled, one of the best I have worked with, incredible, fantastic, prodigy, unrivaled, outstanding, rising star, as good or better than (a well-known person), amazing, and others.
Traits that should be considered for discussion in a letter include past job/task performances, experience and expertise, intellectual ability, and personal attributes as they pertain to leadership quality, teambuilding, perseverance, and communication skills.
Recommendation dos Keep it concise. Summarize in one sentence how you know the student, identify their strengths, and provide 1-2 examples or stories. Use concrete examples, not generalizations. Tell stories that illustrate the students character.
A brief introduction stating who you are, your relationship to the applicant and your personal experience or expertise. An overview of the applicants strengths as youve experienced them and as they relate to the recipient. A personal story that elaborates on one to two traits the applicant possesses.
