This summer, children in the Rio Grande Valley attended a UTRGV chess camp to learn and improve their skills. The camp, led by Grand Master Alex Mistah, attracted 18 students who enjoyed playing chess, participating in tournaments, solving puzzles, and engaging in various activities. The camp also received assistance from fellow Grand Master Vladimir Bellows, a member of the UTRGV national collegiate chess championship team. The participants, including the manager's two sons, had a great time learning from the best and are becoming stronger chess players through the experience.
