Use the Combine Files command Select Data Get Data From File From Folder. Locate the folder containing the files you want to combine, and then select Open. A list of all the files in the folder and subfolders appears in the dialog box. Select Transform Data at the bottom.
You can quickly group items on the desktop into folders. Select all the items you want to group, Control-click one of the items, then choose New Folder with Selection. (Locked items cant be grouped.) See Organize files in folders.
After making sure that the folders have the same name on both Mac volumes, hold down the Option key, and drag the one folder onto the other volume. As long as macOS Finder sees two folders with the same name and theyre both going to be in the same volume, youll see the Merge button.
On your Mac, press and hold the Option key, then drag one folder to the location that contains a folder with the same name. In the dialog that appears, click Merge. The Merge option appears only if one of the folders contains items that are not in the other folder.
Combine PDFs in Preview on Mac In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDFs you want to combine. In each open PDF, choose View Thumbnails to display the page thumbnails in the sidebar. Drag the thumbnails you want to add to the thumbnail sidebar in the other PDF. Command-click to select nonadjacent thumbnails.
There is no folder merge button to combine multiple folders you need to manually go into every directory, press Ctrl + A to select all files, create new folders at the destination, and copy-paste the files.
Open Acrobat to combine files: Open the Tools tab and select Combine files. Add files: Click Add Files and select the files you want to include in your PDF. You can merge PDFs or a mix of PDF documents and other files.
1) Select the first folder. This is the one that you want to move to the second folders location. 2) Hold down your Option key, drag the folder onto the other one, and release be sure to keep holding down the Option key until you see the pop-up message below. 3) In the pop-up window, click Merge.
