The Companions are a notoriously insular group, as you will come to learn. At Jorrvaskr, ask around and you will be directed to Kodlak Whitemane, Harbinger of the Companions. Ask Kodlak about joining the group and you will begin on your journey.
Become a member of The Circle. The Circle is the name used for The Companions major members, which include Vilkas and Aela the Huntress. To join the Circle, you have to complete the first few quests in The Companions Quests, which allows you to become a Werewolf.
The guild known as The Companions have quests are reminiscent of the Fighter's Guild quests from past Elder Scrolls games, but are less generically named. To begin the quests, head to Jorrvaskr in Whiterun and speak to Kodlak Whitemane.
The Dragonslayer achievement is obtained by completing the "Dragonslayer" quest.
First, open your Campaign Menu and choose the Campaign you want to join or Enter Cyrodiil under. Then select the Campaign and choose "Enter Campaign." You will be put into a queue to enter. Once you have queued, you will be prompted after a period of time to enter Cyrodiil.
The Circle consists of all the major members of The Companions guild, the ones who have beast blood. All members of the Circle are werewolves. By following them, you have the opportunity to become one as well by going through with The Companions Quests.
The members of the Circle are known among themselves to be werewolves. This closely guarded secret came to be known by the Silver Hand, a group of self-righteous werewolf hunters who openly attack the Companions.
This is in modern times usually done in a ceremony, known as a blood oath, where each person makes a small cut, usually on a finger, hand or the forearm, and then the two cuts are pressed together and bound, the idea being that each person's blood now flows in the other participant's veins.
The Dragonborn may join The Circle, after completing the quest "Proving Honor." However, to join the Circle, the Dragonborn must willingly contract Lycanthropy from Aela. The hunting group called the Silver Hand are the enemies of the Circle, as their profession lies in hunting down werewolves with silver-made weapons.
After successfully completing Take Up Arms and any one of the radiant quests, speaking to most any Companion member will point you towards Skjor for your next major assignment. Skjor will reveal that a scholar has discovered another fragment of the legendary battleaxe, Wuuthrad.
