There are two main types of watermarks you can use in Word: Text Watermark: This allows you to add custom text, such as your name, company name, or a status message (e.g., DRAFT). Picture Watermark: This lets you use an image, like your company logo, as a watermark.
On the Design tab, select Watermark. In the Insert Watermark dialog, select Text and either type your own watermark text or select one, like DRAFT, from the list. Then, customize the watermark by setting the font, layout, size, colors, and orientation. If you dont see the watermark, click View Print Layout.
On the Design tab, select Watermark Custom Watermark. Choose Picture Watermark and select a picture, or choose Text watermark and type your watermark text in the Text box. Click OK.
Select where you want the watermark to be on the page. Select Design Watermark right-click the watermark you want, and select Insert at Current Document Position.
Add or change a background image or watermark Go to Design or Layout, and select Watermark. Select Picture Select Picture, browse through your image files, and choose the image that you want to use. Select Insert. If you want the background image to show with full color intensity, clear the Washout check box.
To make the selected characters italic, select Ctrl+I. The characters are displayed in italic type. In writing for customers, use regular type to describe type thats neither bold nor italic.

Yes, the beginning is correct - use Ctrl+H to find italics. Now click Find All instead of Find Next. All italic fragments in the text will be highlighted. Close the FindReplace window, double-click on the Emphasis style to assign it to all selected sections of text.
