all right welcome back from the nesting video letamp;#39;s go ahead and actually create something applicable here so Iamp;#39;m going to just make some space to work just because I like a lot of extra space and again white space doesnamp;#39;t matter we know that right so letamp;#39;s create a new paragraph in here and letamp;#39;s automatically close that paragraph tag and in here letamp;#39;s write lorem hit Tab and we get some lorem ipsum just like weamp;#39;ve done before now if we want to bold some text you think it would be the word bold itamp;#39;s not quite that intuitive but itamp;#39;s pretty close we just use the B tag so we could do B and thatamp;#39;s bold the first four letters or words rather and so Iamp;#39;ve got a P tag a paragraph and nested as a child element is the Bold element and so I saved that and if I go over to Google Chrome and hit refresh you can actually see that

If your text is in italics, then it is ok to put the link in italics as well. If you put a link in italics in a plain text, then, as you have noted above, it could be perceived as a word that should stand out (a foreign word) as well as a link, creating confusion.
Published on July 17, 2019 by Shona McCombes. Revised on March 5, 2024. An MLA website citation includes the authors name, the title of the page (in quotation marks), the name of the website (in italics), the publication date, and the URL (without https://).
When writing for online publication: Because italicized text is more difficult to read online, use italics sparingly. Do not italicize hyperlinked text, even when the text is a title or word that is normally italicized in running text. Do not use underlining, which may be mistaken for a hyperlink.
To sum it up, when it comes to web content you need to use bold or italics, but not the underline (except for the links). The italics are used for weaker emphasis, whereas the bold formatting is for strong emphasis.
7 Rules For Italics Emphasis. Want a word or phrase to stand out in a block of text? Titles Of Work. The titles of works should be italicized (or underlined). Articles. Foreign Words. Names Of Trains, Ships, Spaceships. Words As Reproduced Sounds. Words As Words.
Italicize titles if the source is self-contained and independent. Titles of books, plays, films, periodicals, databases, and websites are italicized.
Website Name Provide website names in title case without italics after titles of work. Include a period after the website name, followed by the URL.
