I want to teach you about another tag. This one is called the em tag. It stands for emphasis, and it makes things italic. It looks like this. Youamp;#39;ve got the opening em tag, contents, and then the closing em tag with the slash. Same structure as the bold tag. Nothing too nothing too complex here. Letamp;#39;s try it out in the browser really quick. Okay, so here we are in our browser again. Letamp;#39;s make the word learn italicized. So all I do is I put an opening em tag and then I put a closing em tag, and I hit Update. And that took the word learn and made it italicized. What Iamp;#39;d like you to do is take the whole phrase below and make it italic.

A mark should always be used as an adjective, not a noun. Your trademark is a particular brand of product or service, not the name of the product itself. In the following example, the generic terms are italicized for illustration only: THE HEART TRUTH public awareness campaign, or HEAD START pre-school program.
Symbols Copyright () copy; Registered trademark () reg; Trademark () trade; Euro () euro; Left arrow () larr; Up arrow () uarr; Right arrow () rarr; Down arrow () darr;
DISTINGUISH THE MARK. In order to do this, the mark may be rendered in boldface type, italics, CAPITAL LETTERS, underscored, set in quotation marks or followed by an asterisk(*). Often times, the best identification may be a footnote identifying the registered status of the mark, for example: IAMATRADEMARK*.
The symbol (often seen in superscript like this: ) is used to provide notice to the public that a trademark or service mark is registered.
If your trademark is a name, word, or phrase, put TM or at the right side corner of your wordmark. Often, superscript is used so that it is in the upper-right side corner.
Trademarks and service marks are proper adjectives. Not nouns. Not verbs. A mark should always be used as an adjective qualifying a ge- neric noun that defines the product or service.
The circled R () means registered trademark and the uppercase capitalized TM () means simply trademark. You dont need to use either in your writing unless youre working for the company.
This means that trademarks are typically considered to cover all variations of capitalization, including all uppercase, all lowercase, or a mix of both.
