Shortcut Keys to Italicize Text in Excel As with bolding, simply select one or more cells which you would like to be in italics, then hold Ctrl and press i.
To bold the selected text, press the Ctrl key and the B key simultaneously on your keyboard. To put the selected text in italics, press the Ctrl + I keys. To underline the selected text, press Ctrl + U keys. To undo text formatting, use the same keyboard shortcuts.
Bold Click to turn the text bold, or turn it back to non-bold. Italic Click to turn the text italic, or turn it back to non-italic. Underline Click to underline the selected text with the actual style (displayed on the button)
To put the selected text in italics, press the Ctrl + I keys.
Use only as an adjective, not as a noun. Dont use italics or italicized. To make the selected characters italic, select Ctrl+I.
