Bold italics To write in italics, add an asterisk before and after the word or words. For bold text, use two asterisks and if you want a text to be both bold and italicized, three asterisks are necessary. Alternatively, you can use underscores.
To bold the selected text, press the Ctrl key and the B key simultaneously on your keyboard. To put the selected text in italics, press the Ctrl + I keys. To underline the selected text, press Ctrl + U keys.
To make text italics in HTML, use the HTML tag or and close the tag with or .
Special characters for formatting text in Telegram enclose your text in double underscore symbols to make it italic: text text.
To make the selected characters italic, select Ctrl+I. The characters are displayed in italic type.
