if you ever worked with html worked with emails or watched tom scott video then youamp;#39;ve probably heard of base64. base64 is a way to take any form of data and transform it into a long string of plain text to be sent over the web or any medium with that matter without having to worry about any data being corrupted and vice versa and if you understood all that then you donamp;#39;t need to watch the rest of this video the rest of you have a lot to learn so the data that makes up the files on your computer and the text in your email is primarily made up of bits which could be one of two values a one or a zero string eight bits together and you make a byte a byte has 256 distinct arrangements of those eight bits and you can find that out by raising two to the power of eight there are also some other names for different arrangements of bits but we donamp;#39;t need to delve into those the american standard code for information interchange or ascii is a way to map a byte to a charac

JWT Structure JWTs consist of three Base64-URL-encoded strings separated by dots: Header: The element that specifies the type and the signing algorithm (HMAC SHA256 or RSA). Payload: The element that specifies the issuer, the expiration, and more.
The claims in a JWT are encoded as a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) object that is used as the payload of a JSON Web Signature (JWS) structure or as the plaintext of a JSON Web Encryption (JWE) structure, enabling the claims to be digitally signed or MACed and/or encrypted.
Base32 encoding is not typically used for JWT s; Base64 encoding is more common.
Technically, a JWT is merely a that contains base64 encoded JSON. It can be used in many different use cases including authentication and authorization. Therefore, we dont use this term in this article either, but we discuss how JWTs are used during the authentication process.
What is Radix 64 Encoding? Radix 64 encoding allows binary data stored in octets (i.e. bytes) to be expressed as printable characters.
JWTs can be signed using a secret (with the HMAC algorithm) or a public/private key pair using RSA or ECDSA. Although JWTs can be encrypted to also provide secrecy between parties, we will focus on signed s.
My steps so far: Pick fonts on Google Web Fonts and download them. Use Font Squirrel Webfont Generator to convert downloaded TTF files to CSS file with base64 embedded WOFF fonts (Expert options - CSS - Base64 Encode). Load CSS file async (not important here).
Base64 is a scheme for converting binary data to printable ASCII characters, namely the upper- and lower-case Roman alphabet characters (AZ, az), the numerals (09), and the + and / symbols, with the = symbol as a special suffix code. The datas original length must be a multiple of eight bits.
