This paper introduced a new method to design flux-barrier end shape of synchronous reluctance motor based on B-spline Curves Also, a full optimization workflow is desigend and conducted to explore the boundries of the parametric model. Here is the hero of this paper, synchronous reluctance motor, for short, SynRM. It generates torque through magnetic reluctance. SynRMs have many unparallable advantages compared to traditional motors. Without any winding on the rotor, rotor losses are minimal compared to those of an induction motor. Thus achieving higher efficiency. Because of canceling permanent magnet, SynRMs cost less and have simpler structure. From pumps to fans, the application scope continues to expand.
