Change the font style: Tap the font name, tap. next to the font name, then tap a format (regular, bold, italic or semibold, for example).
Explanation. Generally and grammatically speaking, put titles of shorter works in quotation marks but italicize titles of longer works.
Thats it for most named people or things or placesmost are capitalized but do not require italics or quotation marks. A quick rule: Names (of people, places, and things) need to be capitalized, but titles (of things) need both capitalization and either quotation marks or italics.
7 Rules For Italics Emphasis. Want a word or phrase to stand out in a block of text? Titles Of Work. The titles of works should be italicized (or underlined). Articles. Foreign Words. Names Of Trains, Ships, Spaceships. Words As Reproduced Sounds. Words As Words.
To make the selected characters italic, select Ctrl+I. The characters are displayed in italic type. In writing for customers, use regular type to describe type thats neither bold nor italic.
IMO: its not code so dont format it that way its not that important so dont bold it (plus its distracting) and italics is for emphasis. I prefer to see it just as plain text. It should be clear to those involved that its a file name all by itself.
Use double quotation marks for titles of essays, lectures, songs, short poems, short stories, and episodes of a television or radio program. Do not use quotation marks, however, around the title of your own paper. Use them only if you refer to the paper in another document.
Italicize titles if the source is self-contained and independent. Titles of books, plays, films, periodicals, databases, and websites are italicized. Place titles in quotation marks if the source is part of a larger work. Articles, essays, chapters, poems, webpages, songs, and speeches are placed in quotation marks.
