Have you ever been sent a zip file and when you go to extract it, it has this weird amp;quot;MACOSXamp;quot; folder, and if you go inside, it apparently has all the same files as the main folder. But again, with the dot and an underscore in front of all the file names. What is the deal with that? Obviously, it has something to do with being created on a Mac. But why? Well, thereamp;#39;s a short simple answer, a short technical answer, and a longer answer. The short simple answer is, it just contains extra metadata thatamp;#39;s only used by the Mac operating system, so you can just delete it on Windows. These short technical answer is it contains metadata for the files, as well as occasionally something called resource forks. But the video canamp;#39;t stop there, obviously.
