You can do this by placing the word Attachment or Enclosure at the end of your letter, followed by a colon and the name of the document. If you have multiple documents, use the plural form.
The notation Attachment is reserved for memorandums. Do not use Enclosure as it is reserved for letters. Type Attachment flush with the left margin two spaces down from the end of the body of the memorandum to create one blank line.
Type Enclosure and the name of the enclosed document under your signature. If youve included an additional document to your letter or email, place an enclosure notation beneath your signature.
Under your signature, type CC and place two to four spaces between your signature and the CC line. Now enter the names of everyone who will be CCd on this letter.
Here are six steps to help you format a hard copy business letter with an attachment: Begin with a blank letter. First, open your word processing program of choice. Apply basic formatting rules. Mention the additional materials. Note the attachments. Print and sign the letter. Add the materials.
Italics can emphasize a single word or phrase. For example: Are you going to eat that? or I never said I wanted to go. I said I would consider it. Its best to use italics for emphasis sparingly so that they retain their impact.
No. You should capitalize but not underline or italicize.
