The documents must be legible. Legal documents are typically written in 12-point font, the standard recommendation from courts and lawyers. This large enough for anyone to read yet compact enough to fit plenty of information on a single page. A large font is uncomfortable to read and uses up a lot of space.
Use italics for the titles of books, magazines, journals, newspapers, and pamphlets. Did you read John Grishams The Rainmaker? Exceptions: The Bible, the Koran, and legal documents are generally not placed in italics.
Typeface conventions for textual material The main body text of law review articles should be in ordinary typeface, except for case names and the titles of publications, speeches, or articles, all of which are italicized. Other words may be italicized for emphasis or similar stylistic purposes.
Citing Legal Sources in APA Style. Any time a law or a court case is mentioned in the text of a paper, include an appropriate in-text citation (usually in parentheses). For court cases, that includes the main party names as well as the year e.g. (Griswold v. Connecticut, 1965).
To attach a source from the Person Tab: From the People workspace and under the Tree tab (the Family tab in some versions), select the person in your tree to whom you want to attach a source. On the right side of the screen, click the icon to add a New source.
Do not italicize the titles of laws, acts, or similar political documents or put them in quotation marks. Capitalize them as you would any other source title.
