hi thanks again for coming to one minuted digital.com tutorials today Iamp;#39;m working an docHub Illustrator and Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to make italics out of a font when the font doesnamp;#39;t have one that being said please donamp;#39;t use a font that doesnamp;#39;t come with italics and make it be italics just because the fonts were designed uh to have italics and bold and it makes them look the best that they possibly can but I know sometimes you just need to make one word in italic thatamp;#39;s why Iamp;#39;m here to show you okay so an illustrator go to file new and with the typee tool type the word that you want to be in italics and on the left hand side find your sheer tool that is the two rectangles slanted with the the arrow on top double click there and in the sheer angle box change that angle to 15 no more than 20% thatamp;#39;s fine for italic click preview okay and there you have an italic font thanks again for watching and until next time bye-bye

To use italic text, do [I] before the actual text. Hello WA! This is centerbold. To use centerbold, do [BC] before the actual text.
To put the selected text in italics, press the Ctrl + I keys. To underline the selected text, press Ctrl + U keys. To undo text formatting, use the same keyboard shortcuts.
When should italics not be used? Italics should not be used for the titles of short works, such as poems, articles, short stories, or song namesall of which use quotation marks instead. The names of geographic locations and religious texts use neither italics nor quotes, but theyre still capitalized.
Use only as an adjective, not as a noun. Dont use italics or italicized. To make the selected characters italic, select Ctrl+I.
This study measured the impact of font type on people with dyslexia. It tested 48 subjects, each of whom was given 12 texts to read with 12 different fonts, 3 of which were italic fonts. One of the studys conclusions was that, for people with dyslexia, italic fonts decreased reading performance.
Do not use italics or underlining. Only apply bold to two or three words at a time. Consider using the appropriate heading type for large sections of text that need to be highlighted.

Avoid excessive use of italics: Using excessive italics can make the text difficult to read, as it can create a sense of visual noise and make it harder for users to focus on the important information. Especially for individuals with dyslexia or other reading disorders.
