when editing a document we sometimes need to add related attachments to explain more detail at this time we can use the insert attachment function to open the attachment in the original file directly it can greatly improve our work efficiency so how can we do that take this document on introduction to monets as an example we can insert his work as an attachment at the end of the document it can make it easier for people who read this document to understand monet click the end of the document then click the file object button in the insert tab in the pop-up window select the file we want to insert then click open now we have inserted it successfully therefore when we double-click the attachment in this document we can open the attachment directly in addition to ordinary documents we can also insert audio files video files etc this is a very useful feature letamp;#39;s use this feature now

To ensure your zip code or postal code pass through a mail merge without losing any zeros, format the column containing those codes as text. Open your spreadsheet and select the column that contains the zip codes or postal codes. On the Home tab, in the Format box, choose Text.
If prompted for your ZIP code, just enter the three digits of your postal code plus two zeros. So for example, if your postal code is A2B 3C4, the 5-digit number you should enter is 23400.
A United States postal code, for example, might be either five digits or five digits followed a hyphen (dash) and another four digits (12345-1234). If you are validating US postal codes, allow for both conditions. The following rule validates a field that can be five digits, five digits + dash + 4 digits, or blank.
Format merge fields using Mail Merge switches In the template document, while the merge field is selected, do the following to display the field code: Press Shift + F9 on Windows. Remove \* MERGEFORMAT from the field code. Enter the switch in the field code. For example: Update the field: Press F9 on Windows.
Apply a predefined postal code format to numbers Select the cell or range of cells that you want to format. To cancel a selection of cells, click any cell on the worksheet. On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number. In the Category box, click Special. In the Type list, click Zip Code or Zip Code + 4.
To format a numeric merge field, use the \# switches. For example, to display a currency field as $125.23, the merge field should be defined as {MERGEFIELD myObject. myField \# $#,##0.00} . To format a date merge field, use the \@ switches.
