The assessment uses a free-choice response format: participants are presented with two questions, each followed by a list of adjectives. The first question asks participants to select adjectives which they feel describe the way they are expected to act by others (Self-Concept).
After several years of refining, Arnold Daniels created the Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment (BA). It was specifically designed to measure four motivating needs, or drives, that had the biggest effect on workplace behaviors: Dominance, Extraversion, Patience, and Formality.
Dominance is defined as the power and influence over others. Adjectives for those wanting to score high in dominance could be assertive, independent, determined, and self-confident. Those wanting to score low on dominance would select traits like cooperative, agreeable, and accommodating.
Other than the specific adjectives you choose to describe yourself, the number of words you choose also influences your Predictive Index Behavioral test results. We recommend choosing between 20-50 words on each list, and not more than 80 words on both lists.

Behavioral assessment evaluations come in many forms including interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Interviews provide an opportunity for an open-ended response from people who witness or experience challenging behavior.
Here are a few tips to make it go easier: Answer honestly. Personality tests often include questions that ask for answers on a scale. Avoid too many of the same answers. Study the job description. Consider taking a practice test. Take your time. Expect questions about your honesty and integrity.
Write a description of the students behavior as well as the antecedents and consequences using the Antecedent - Behavior - Consequence (A-B-C) format. This type of data must be collected multiple times across settings when the behavior of concern occurs as well as when the behavior of concern does not occur.
