So, I just thought Id if he had that question, then a lot of other people have the same question, and Im just gonna give you a little brief tutorial about what I do to help prevent, or really I should say, to help deter image theft. Insert a watermark On the Design tab, select Watermark. Choose a pre-configured watermark, like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, or DO NOT COPY. For placing a logo or image, Select Watermark Custom Watermark Picture watermark Select Picture. On the same menu you can create a custom text watermark.
How to copyright a photo Complete the application form. You can either do this online or with a hard copy that you must mail to the U.S. Copyright Office. Include a copy of the work to be copyrighted. Pay the filing fee and submit your application.
Press and hold down the ALT key, then type the numbers 0169 on your number keypad. Release ALT, and the copyright symbol should appear.
On the Design tab, select Watermark. In the Insert Watermark dialog, select Text and either type your own watermark text or select one, like DRAFT, from the list. Then, customize the watermark by setting the font, layout, size, colors, and orientation. If you dont see the watermark, click View Print Layout.
Again, the watermark itself is not a copyright. Your work is already protected by copyright the moment it is created and the watermark can serve as a reminder to others not to steal your images because you are copyright protected.
To make the copyright character in Windows, press the Alt key and type 0169. On a Mac, press Option+G. You can work through the options in this window to tweak the look of your simple text watermark.
