Due to a new banking regulation, all checks deposited via a mobile service must include: For Mobile Deposit Only handwritten below your signature in the endorsement area on the back of the check or the deposit may be rejected.
Check that the preprinted information is correct. Your name, address, bank name and address, and your account number should all be on the deposit slip already. Before depositing cash, check to ensure this information is present and correct.
To fill out a deposit slip: List the amount of money you want to deposit. For example, add $30 (cash) and $450.55 (check). Enter the subtotal. Enter any amount you want back. Enter the Total. Sign the deposit slip. Take the slip and the money you want to deposit to a teller at your bank.
This is the total amount of currency (paper bills and coins) that youve brought for depositing into your account. Youll notice separate boxes for each entry. The box on the far right is for the decimal (or cents) portion, and the next box to the left is for the full dollar amount.
List each check amount, along with the check number (you can list the checks on the back of the deposit slip if you are depositing several). Put the total of cash and checks on the bottom line, unless youre getting cash back.
The customer is required to fill out the deposit slip before approaching the bank teller to deposit funds. If the customer uses a deposit slip in the bank, the account number will need to be written at the bottom of the slip where indicated.
