Types of IDocs An Outbound IDoc is triggered through document message control to the EDI subsystem. EDI then converts the IDoc data into XML or an equivalent format and sends the data to the outside system via the internet. For Inbound IDocs, EDI converts the outside system data and the IDoc is created in SAP.
Assign Message Type to Basic Type and Extension Choose SAP Menu Tools IDoc Interface/ALE Development IDoc IDoc Type Development IDoc Type for Message (WE82) . Choose and then New Entries. Go to menu Edit-> Cancel Release the Idoc type first. Enter change mode and click the Idoc segment need to change its segment limits. Go to menu Edit-> Segment Attributes.
Segments are the basic elements of an IDoc type. Data is stored in the segments. A segment type is the name of a segment and is independent of the SAP release. The segment definition is the release-specific name of a segment.
Use transaction WE30 or from WEDI go to Development -> IDOC types. Enter ZDEBMASX for Object Name. Choose Extension Type. Click on Create.
