You can use text formatting buttons in the shortcut bar above the keyboard to quickly add bold, italic, or underline to text. These buttons appear on the right of the predictive text fields. If your keyboard doesnt show predictive text, you can turn it on in Settings General Keyboard.
Add text in Keynote on Mac Click. in the toolbar. Drag the text box to where you want it. Type to replace the placeholder text. To resize the text box, drag the selection handle on the left or right side of the box.
You can make the same kinds of changes to a slide layout that you make to a regular slidefor example, modify the appearance of text, change the slide background, and change the size of the images.
Add a new shape and begin typing, or click an existing shape to select it, then type. If a clipping indicator appears, which signifies theres too much text to display in the shape, click the shape and drag any white square until all the text is showing.
Adding text inserts Simply select an insert youve placed in a text block (such as the date), then choose a font or other character setting from the Text menu. Finale changes the entire contents of the insert to the new setting. You cannot, however, select and change the text within inserts.
Replace found text in the toolbar, then choose Show Find Replace. Click pop-up menu to the left of the search field, then choose Find Replace. You can also select other options, such as Whole Words and Match Case, to refine your search. Enter a word or phrase in the first field.
Change the font or font size Select the text you want to change. In the Format sidebar, click the Text tab, then click the Style button near the top of the sidebar. Click the Font pop-up menu, then choose a font. Click the small arrows to the right of the font size to make the font larger or smaller.
If you add new images, text and other objects to a slide layout, these objects become part of the slide background and arent editable in your presentation. If you want text, shapes or images on a slide layout to be editable in your presentation, you must add them to the layout as placeholders.
