2. Open a Word document that has text boxes. Click the Review tab, then click the Restrict Editing button in the Protect group. Word displays a pane allowing you to manage editing permissions for specific parts of the document, including text boxes.
Add a text box Go to Insert Text Box and then select either Draw Text Box (where the text aligns horizontally on the page) or Vertical Text Box (where the text aligns vertically on the page). Select in the document, and then drag to draw the text box the size that you want.
Create a Form Place the text cursor where you want to insert the form field. Click the Developer tab on the ribbon. Click the Design Mode button in the controls group. Click a Content Control buttons to insert the selected type of control. When youre done, click the Design Mode button again to exit Design Mode.
On the Design tab, in the Controls group, click Text Box. Position the pointer where you want the text box to be placed on the form or report, and then click to insert the text box. Note: Access also places a label to the left of the text box, so leave some room to the left of the pointer for the label.
Add and format text If youre not already in edit mode, at the top right of your space, select Edit. On the canvas, select the circled + icon. In the web part toolbox, select Text. Click to place the web part anywhere on the structure (floor). In the property pane on the right, enter your text in the Text field.
Preview lets you edit and add text boxes to your document easily using the following steps: Open the PDF in Preview. Click the toolbox icon to open the Markup Toolbar. Click the T icon in the toolbar to create a new text box. Click the text box to select it. Select the text box to adjust its formatting.
Add a text box (ActiveX control) Click Developer and then click Insert, and under ActiveX Controls, click Text Box . Click the worksheet location where you want the upper-left corner of the text box to appear. To edit the ActiveX control, click Design Mode . To specify the control properties, click Properties .
Place cursor where you want the text box to appear. Go to Insert and in Illustrations select Drawing. Select Text Box and use your cursor to create the text box. Insert text in box and apply any styling needed.
Text boxes arent supported in Excel for the web. You cant add or view them in the worksheet there.
Switch to Page Layout view (if you are not already in that mode). Make sure you can see, on your screen, the general area where you want to insert the text box. Choose Text Box from the Insert menu.
