so this is a great question i wish i would have talked about this before because its a its something that a lot of people who havent been in the military dont really know when you see these military map symbols so let me explain what they are so on a nato military map youll see multiple symbols youll have friendly hostile neutral and unknown mostly youll only ever see friendly and hostile and actually on the map i show it just shows the hostile forces you can see that they each have their own color and their own shape for ground forces which are anything from tanks to troops moving and whatnot sea surfaces ships air and space obviously aircraft satellites things of that nature then subsurface being submarines within those you have other within those shapes you have symbols so like an oval stands for armor which would be tanks and then you have an x which is infantry which would be like this would be considered light infantry so youd just be troops walking or maybe they have lig
