How to Turn on Predictive Text on Microsoft Word First, open Word and go to File Options. In the Options window, select Proofing, then check the Autocorrect box. Hit OK. When you type now, some words will appear in a pop-up. Just click one or press Enter to insert it into your document.
Under Typing, turn on Show text suggestions as I type on the software keyboard. This enables text suggestions when youre typing on an on-screen keyboard. If you want to use text prediction in several languages, turn on Show text suggestions based on the recognized languages youre typing in.
Guidance for recipients. When you open a document that was shared with you for review, you are automatically placed in Review mode. In Review mode, you cannot edit but instead are allowed to add suggestions to the document in the form of comments or tracked changes.

Word prediction detects letters as the user types them. It then suggests likely words on the screen. A user can click on a suggested word to insert it into the writing. Some word prediction tools have advanced features.
