Click on the Text icon. on the Drawing toolbar. If the toolbar with the text icon is not visible, choose View Toolbars Drawing.
Press Insert to toggle between overwrite mode and insert mode. The current mode is displayed on the Status Bar. Insert mode is enabled. The text cursor is a blinking vertical line.
