These include: Log Date This is the date and time (always Eastern Time Zone) of the action or state to which the log entry refers to. Some examples: the date and time the receiver failed, the date and time when observations XX began, date and time when the weather was sampled and so on.
Information such as passwords should not be logged at all. For the following code examples, the log lies outside the trust boundary of the information being recorded. Also, normal log messages should include additional parameters such as date, time, source event, and so forth.

Write clear and informative messages that precisely document the event being captured. Including ample contextual fields within each log entry helps you understand the context in which the record was captured, and lets you link related entries to see the bigger picture.
Log files are a historical record of everything and anything that happens within a system, including events such as transactions, errors and intrusions. That data can be transmitted in different ways and can be in both structured, semi-structured and unstructured format.
You should note that sensitive information, such as passwords, credit card numbers, and so on, should not be included in the logs and should be removed in the code review process. This example is only for demonstration purposes.
It includes four pieces of data: Severity Indicator. Simple X shape, very common symbology for error level severity. Log Message. In this case, its a typeerror for the timestamp variable. Stack Trace. Shows the path through the application/code taken to get to the errorconvenient data for troubleshooting. Source.
