First off, ensure that you have zoomed in enough. Some street names will not show on the map unless you zoom in enough. This is because Google maps do not allow the street labels to overlap so the space for the street name can only be enough if you zoom right in.
To turn your Location History on or off: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app. Tap your profile picture or initial. Your Timeline. . Tap More. Settings and privacy. Tap Location History is off or Location History is on. Turn Location History on or off.
Add a missing road On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . On the bottom, tap the Contribute tab. Tap Edit map. Tap Missing road. Move the pin to the location where the missing road begins. At the bottom, tap Add. Drag the pin to the location where the road ends and tap Add .
